Who I AM
Table of Dang is a food website run by me, Thomas Dang, based in Sydney, Australia. The site is at tableofdang.com.
This policy explains what information I collect when you use the site, why I collect it, and what I do with it.
What I collect
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, the topic you select, and your message.
When you comment on a post: your name, email address, comment content, and your IP address (used to help detect spam).
When you visit the site: standard analytics data — pages visited, how you got here, your general location, your device and browser. This is collected through Google Analytics and is anonymised.
If you subscribe to my newsletter: your email address and any preferences you choose to share.
I don’t collect anything you don’t actively give me, and I don’t sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.
How I use it
I use the information I collect to:
- Send newsletter content (if you’ve subscribed)
- Reply to messages you send through the contact form
- Manage and respond to comments
- Understand how people use the site so I can make it better
That’s it.
Cookies & Analytics
The site uses cookies — small files stored in your browser — to keep things working properly and to track basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you’d prefer, but parts of the site may not work as expected.
I use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Google has its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
I use MailerLite to manage email subscriptions. Subscriber data is stored on MailerLite’s servers. You can view their privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. This means if you click a link and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only ever recommend things I actually use and rate. Affiliate links don’t influence what I write about.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what information I have about you
- Ask me to correct or delete that information
- Withdraw your consent at any time

Comments and Spam
When you leave a comment, the data is stored so I can manage approvals. If you’ve left comments before, follow-up comments may be automatically approved.
Embedded Content
Posts on this site may include embedded content from other sites (videos, images, social posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same way as if you’d visited that website directly — those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the content.
How Long I Keep Information
- Contact form submissions: kept for as long as needed to reply, then deleted
- Comments: kept indefinitely so they remain part of the discussion
- Analytics data: kept according to Google’s standard retention settings
